Over the years, I have found fulfillment in supporting residents’ quality of life and creating an environment where residents feel safe, respected, and at home. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is the daily interactions with residents and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with them. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren. I cherish family time and enjoy making lasting memories.

The welcoming environment where everyone feels at home, and the team that is like a family, always working towards the care of our residents. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, relaxing with music, and finding little ways to spread kindness and positivity each day.

My name is Barbara Whitt, and I am the Dietary Manager at The Landings of Northport. I have been working in healthcare and food service since 1987, and I have loved every moment of it. I have been proud to call The Landings of Northport home for the past three years. What I love most about this work is making residents feel at home. Whether it’s fried fish on Friday’s or fresh vegetables on Wednesday’s, or any special dish that puts a smile on their face, I pour my heart into every meal I prepare. My favorite days are when families come out to share a meal with their loved ones. That feeling never gets old. Outside of work, I cherish time with my daughter and three grandchildren because they are my heart. I also enjoy playing softball and staying active in the community I love.
